The Afterthought of Gundam AGE Last Ep 49

Finally i watched the last episode of Gundam AGE tonight although it was released yesterday but due to school i had to turn in instead. Hmm... i won't say this is a bad or worse of gundam series as mostly commented because at some points of the anime, i do enjoy it. well, everyone's opinions are different and so are their angles of views. besides, i am attracted to its story most when Asemu was MIA, and followed up by his re-appearance with his new gang friends before Diva and his father and son. & of cos, i do enjoy watching this 3 generations series no doubt. just that at some points, they were a bit draggy and whining going on. All in all, except for the part about the Vagan's mechanic "robots"...the rest like the 2nd Moon, Big Ring & La Gramis etc, i'm good with them really. :) in addition, the mobile suits/armor in this series do have a lot of creative areas for modelers to get their hands on. XD

Hehehe~~~! i do have an idea in mind for this series regarding the 3 AGE or 4 including the FX~ as well as those AGE plus plus (orbital, double bullet, titus....) when time allows and skills picking up is not slow.. i'll do it. but first and foremost, i need to clear my 2 other gundams first! XD

Furthermore, like some others i do feel that the ending could have been much more elaborated, giving it to a 50 episode instead of 49, such as the chemistry between Kio and Wendy Hertz, how Flit would tell Emily about his letting go of his long held hatred and the space battle, Asemu and Romary couple catching up session (including topic on death of Zeheart), the situation of the peace between Vagan and Earthlings, a warm happy family reunion, the settlement of the military of both sides, Zeheart's grave, the dead soldiers' memorial, the future plans of both parties etc etc etc. Well, at least Sunrise could have just showed both old Asemu and grown up Kio's appearances!! sigh... making it secretive and leaving imaginary abilities/spaces for us gundam fans once again... =_=lll

Nevertheless, the end of a gundam series do sadden me as it reminded me of my favorite series: Gundam SEED's ending & its followed up Gundam SEED Destiny's one too.

Well, i wonder what's the next upcoming Gundam series Sunrise will be giving!
*I'M WAITING SUNRISE!!! 8D

To summarize the story in short in my views;

  1. Flit Asuno witnessed the death of his mother and getting his mind set for construction of Gundam
  2. Successfully constructed Gundam AGE 1 and piloted it
  3. Furthered pushed by hatred when his first love, Yurin was killed by a Vagan pilot, Desil
  4. Flit grew up and henceforth began his leadership in the Earth Federation
  5. Asemu Asuno, son of Flit Asuno and Emily Amonde, appeared and portrayed to be living in his father's shadow
  6. Zeheart Galette, a Vagan elite pilot with X-rounder ability, thus showed up in Asemu's life and became best friends
  7. Upon learning the attacks from Vagan, Asemu piloted the Gundam AGE 2
  8. Turned from best friends to enemies
  9. Asemu too grew up in battle later on and married Romary Stone, and giving birth to Kio Asuno
  10. Kio Asuno was brought up by his grandfather, Flit, and all when Asemu went MIA on his last mission
  11. Kio learnt how to pilot Gundam AGE 3 against Vagans
  12. Kio was later kidnapped and learnt about people living in the 2nd Moon
  13. Upon knowing the deeply rooted hatred of Flit's towards the Vagan, Kio wanted very much to change him
  14. At the last battle between the Vagan and Earth Federation, the 3 main protagonists finally worked together and led peace to everyone
  15. Last scene was that a Flit's statue was built to commemorate him and, with Asemu and Kio being old and matured looking at his statue remembering him
The End.
